The ICES Day of Sharing in Daytona was a great time for all. There were demonstrations on tropical flowers, sugar molding, using photo printing for decorating, and a stand up baby carriage.
The Cake Challenge was a real hit with the three teams of three in a 30 minute battle to beat the clock, decorate a cake with buttercream, make a fondant bow and most of all, be able to demonstrate caring and sharing among the team members and the other teams, too.

Mercedes Strachwsky from Oveido, FL won the Oklahoma Cake Competition over the weekend! Her cake shop is Bake Me A Cake in Altamont Springs, FL. Congratulations to Mercedes for her beautiful work!
She designed and made the State Cake for the ICES Orlando Convention in 1997, and it is still on display at the Orlando Science Museum. Stop in and see it when you are in Orlando!!!
